Review: Taskmaster Series 13 – ducks the issue

5/5

Series 13 of Taskmaster got off to a quacking start last night with the contestants going on an ingenious duck hunt devised by creator Alex Horne.

The five comedians taking part in this series are Ardal O’Hanlon (Father Ted, My Hero), award winning comedian Bridget Christie (currently filming a new sitcom), Chris Ramsey (Hebburn, Shagged Married Annoyed), Judi Love (Strictly, Loose Women) and last but not least Sophie Duker (numerous guest appearances including Franky Boyle’s New World Order and Comedians Giving Lectures).

As always the team blend perfectly with some far more adept at the challenges than others: no names, no pack drill. As ever no spoilers in reviews but it’s probably evident from this first episode who’s likely to come out on top and definitely who isn’t.

The pure enjoyment that Taskmaster, Greg Davies, gets from controlling events is infectious and it’s the one infection that is truly worth catching. If you’re a Taskmaster fan you’ll love the new series. If you’re not, why not?
