Comedy Club showcases new talent

Jonathan Ross’s Comedy Club opened on Sunday night with a small but enthusiastic and appreciative studio audience. Compared by Ross with musical links from Mawaan Rizwan connecting excellent new sets from Kae Kurd, Sophie Duker, Sukh Ojla and Flo and Joan plus a breakthrough set from a young man with a bright future ahead of him, Leo Reich. The show proved that comedians need the reaction of a live audience to perform at their best and they did just that. The show was headlined by Rob Beckett who was on his best form.

The sets were all too short but better that than podcasts alone. If you enjoy live comedy then don’t miss the next few Sunday nights: if the first night was anything to go by , you won’t be disappointed.
