Semi-Detached Farce
Lee Mack's new sitcom, if indeed that's what it's supposed to be, was, not to put too fine a point on it, dire. The end of a previous post I mentioned a quote by Lee Mack that he "... got quite annoyed by the character by the end of the series!" That long! I was annoyed and dismayed by the character after ten minutes. Unbelievable characters in an unbelievable script set in real time. The pilot, which aired last year, received mixed reviews I'm sure that this full series will too. It's trying hard to be a farce but I just find it farcical.
